What is PRP?

PRP or Plasma rich platelet injection therapy is a procedure to rejuvenate the skin with growth factors extracted from one's own plasma. It is used to make the skin smoother and reduce wrinkles.

What to avoid before PRP procedure?

Kindly avoid using retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other products which can cause burns like hair remover creams, bleaching, and waxing at least 3 days before attending a PRP. 

Is it safe?

Yes, it is safe. We ensure that it is carried out in a sterile and clean environment.

How often should I get PRP?

As with other treatments the best results are seen when done regularly.  We advise 4 weeks interval for the best results and 3 - 6 sessions are advised for general rejuvenation. 

What aftercare is advised?

We recommend you to avoid touching the area, saunas, swimming, steam rooms for 2 days.

As well as to avoid sun exposure and strenuous exercise for 24 hrs. We also don't recommend the consumption of alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 3 days after the treatment.

Does it tighten the skin?

Yes, PRP facial can help with tightening the face and improving skin tone. 

Is it painful?

The treatment involves taking blood for extracting the plasma. The needling can hurt around the lips and eye area, however, it is a well-tolerated as a local anesthetic is applied 20 min before.

Are there any risks involved?

Rare and mild risks are local swelling, infection, and pain. There is no chance of an allergy or immune reaction as its ones own blood. 

Can PRP stop my hair loss?

The use of PRP in the early stages of hair loss can help arrest male pattern baldness. This can be determined at the time of consultation.
