What is Microneedling?
Micro-needling is the most safest and efficacious method of skin rejuvenation and scar revision, skin pigmentation, and replenishing lost collagen with minimal downtime.
When to avoid before Microneedling procedure?
Avoid using retinoids, exfoliants, acids, or hair remover creams. It is advisable to not take ibuprofen before coming in for the procedure.
Can I have the treatment?
If you are pregnant, having skin allergies, localized skin infections, had laser treatment, or skin cancer you must avoid micro-needling. This can be determined at the time of consultation.
How many treatments should I get?
We recommend 3 treatments to start with 4-week intervals to replenish lost collagen. A minimum of 6 treatments is needed for scar revision.
What aftercare is advised?
Some peeling and flaking can be seen during the first week so we advise using moisturizers and spritzing to hydrate the area when it feels dry. This will soothe the skin and help to heal.
Sunscreen is always advised.
Is it painful?
There may be a slight discomfort, but the pain is minimal.
